  • "There can be nothing in the world more beautiful than the Yosemite, the groves of the giant sequoias and redwoods, the Canyon of the Colorado, the Canyon of the Yellowstone, the Three Tetons; and our people should see to it that they are preserved for their children and their children's children forever, with their majestic beauty all unmarred." - Teddy Roosevelt ๐Ÿป

#earthday is this #sundayfunday Now, more than ever, our oceans are being overwhelmed by plastic waste. This yearโ€˜s Earth Day theme focuses on making that plastic pollution extinct. Join me and letโ€™s make earth day an every day event. After all... itโ€™s our call home. ( Even if your neighbors a total $&@! )

In the Los Angeles area alone, 10 metric tons of plastics are carried into the Pacific Ocean EVERY DAY. That's 3 full grown elephants worth of plastic grocery bags, straws, and throw-and-go soda bottles. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
.
Cant can do something about that? .

  • Have you ever touched a real dinosaur bone? Seriously? A 100 million year old piece of earth history frozen in time? Well here at @dinosaurnps you get do just that. .
With over 1,500 #dinosaurfossils still at the #dinoquarry plus with a chance to explore box canyons, pioneer homesteads, white water gorges and some of the most star strewn skyโ€™s you will ever seeโ€ฆ. What are you waiting for? #adventurehydro #learntoadventure .

The Dino bones on the quarry wall (building over my shoulder) found their way here thanks to an ancient river. How do scientists know that? Well, funny enough the most numerous fossil find here @visitdinosaurland are actually clams. Yes! Clams! Mixed in with the dinosaur bones you will find crocodiles, clams and other aquatic species. Those โ€œotherโ€ bones point to a time when this area was once lush, green and had a river flowing through it. FYI- the #greenriver still flows nearby #whitewater #waterscience #nature #lifeelevated #dinosaur #travelstoke @rarejaunt @geology_adventures @natgeochannel @nationalparkservice
